I am just so darn excited that I could split a seam. Since I've gone on the pump about three months ago, I have just been feeling 100% better because my BGs are so much more stable than they ever have been since I was diagnosed ten years ago. I've been able to stay on a consistent training plan with my running and.....

I'M FINALLY SEEING SOME RESULTS! WOO HOOO

Last Saturday I ran a local 5K race and set a new personal best that was OVER A MINUTE faster than my old bestest race result. I have such high hopes for getting my goal (ten minutes faster than the past two years' attempts) in the ten mile race in April. During training on those dark, cold evenings this winter I've pictured in my mind seeing that number on the race clock as I cross the finish line. It's gotten me through some lousy weather runs.

I guess you can tell I am a little excited about my small success. I spent the entire last year though trying to bust that barrier so it was a big deal to me.
Ahhh.....thanks for letting me share that. :)

It's amazing how much faster cells can recover when they are in a (more) stable environment and not getting drowned in glucose, huh?

Congrats on the accomplishments!

DixiePixie, be careful not to jump up and down too much or you'll need to program a temp basal...
