i'm a type 1 diabetic, and my diabetes is a little out of control. i was told once i got back under control, i could start trying. i was just wondering how long some of you waited until you got pregnant and if the pregnancy added complications to your diabetes.

I was very out of control upon conceiving both of my daughters and it something I would HIGHLY recommend NOT doing. It was a very scary first trimester and I worked very hard once I had what I needed to take care of it. My daughters came into this world very healthy and my diabetes hasn't suffered but it's not worth the risk being out of control. I wish I had known more when I conceived cuz I was so sure I was going to kill my babies. I hope you're able to get yours under control and being trying to conceive ASAP.
