I have an MM-722 pump with CGMS.
The last 4 sensors I've had, constantly keep me at a 4-7 isig. The problem with this is that NONE of my Highs are being detected! It catches the lows but not the Highs and I'm increasingly getting frustrated. 1 of the 4 sensors was even from a different lot that the technical support team sent to me after I called in about the problem. I even have had a new transmitter sent to me but the problem continues. I usually wear my sensor for 6 days and this started about 4 weeks ago. I’m 7 weeks pregnant so I wonder if that has anything to do with the fat composition etc. that is causing the problem. I only use my thighs for sensors because they hurt too much in my tummy and I was never able to get accurate readings with the abdominal area anyway. I’ve been using sensors for about 5 months now, successfully for the most part until recently.

The whole reason I fought so hard to get insurance coverage for sensors was for my pregnancy and now that it’s here the sensor fails dismally. I’ve spent hours on the phone with Medtronic and they give me the same rote answers.

I would greatly appreciate any thoughts/ideas.

I think everything changes when you're pregnant....including sensor isig's.
Have you tried loading up on the water? It could be dehydration.
I know that the circulation in my legs completely changed when I was pregnant. You may want to try another placement. Have you tried the "love handle" area? That seemed to work the best with me.

Good luck!

That was one of the things the MM reps suggested too - but I drink over 1 gallon of water a day, so I'm pretty sure I can't be dehydrated.

The sensors have always hurt me really badly in the abdominal area, including the love handles area so I've just been using my thighs :(

Have you tried your upper arm area? There are a few ppl here that place them there. It sounds painful to me, but I've never tried it.
I would think that circulation in your legs would be the problem since you are pregnant, but that's just my opinion.

i use back of the upper arms in the winter, just because I'm wearing long sleeved stuff and you can't see them...have gotten good results there. i didn't find placing them there any more painful than putting them anywhere else, but that might just be me.

never had CGMS when pregnant and sooooooooo wish i had...hope you find a spot that works for you!!
