Hello.
I am a Type 2 diabetic, who was recently given even more meds to take when I decided enoughs enough and wanting to get off of this circle I am on for meds. Anyway, the one I think that really made it serious to me was the glypizide or whatever its called since it burns out your cells from what I hear.
Anyway. After looking at a variety of workout options, me personally not found of running at all, and a lot of the stuff on TV for working out looked like a joke or embarrassing if someone came in while you were doing it, I decided to give P90X a try.
I started August 17th, but wanted to first see how the program would work for me with my normal diet, and then after 30 days, try it with a strict diet.
I started at 285lbs and I am 5'10, male, 32. Anyway, after 30 days no diet, I noticed the following:
- My stamina increased
- I am stronger than before
- My weight didn't go down much at all, 5lbs if that.
So i started the diet phase plus workout continuing, after 5 days, I dropped 5lbs.
I know I have a long way to go, and its going to be more like a P180X I am thinking before I am in good shape (target is my old fighting weight of 195), but I am hopeful.
For those looking for something that appears to not be a joke, go with P90X.
I am hopeful that by the time I see my doctor again, he can take me off some of these meds!
