Hi all, I understand that all of us would rather have perfectly normal or optimal BG numbers but now that we are here as pre-d's, I was thinking may be we can all list the good things that came about as a result of our pre-d diagnosis. Because as I have read many times here it is indeed an opportunity that we can use to enhance our overall wellbeing.

For me there have been a number of positive changes. I am now generally more conscious of my overall health, I have lost 8 pounds, I am exercising a lot more which makes me feel great before and after. I am eating more delicious food and still maintaining good weight. I have learned a great deal about diabetes and while I am at it I have been reading on more health topics. I can list many more but that is probably a good starter.

That's exactly right. Turn it around. There's no reason this has to be bad news. You can use it to your advantage and be so much better off than before.

I totally agree! We tend to just look at it as a very negative thing in our life, but there is a lot of positive that can come out of this.
I've started exercising (haven't lost any weight yet though). I have totally cut soda cold drinks from my diet, just drink fruit juices, and then I dilute them, and drinking more water. Trying very hard to cut the carbs as much as possible, and my family also benefits from this.

I have done a lot of research on the Net about diabetes, and can give advise to others who do not know that they have, or suspect that they may have it, ecspecially with the knowledge of everyone on this site:)
