I have a several brand new meters (BD, Lifescan, etc) that I would be willing to donate to someone. Has anyone found an appropriate place to make this happen?

You might want to check out The Diabetes Angel Network (http://www.dfandiabetes.com/angel/). The site has been closed for a while but hopefully they are coming back soon.
Also, you might want to look into seeing if there is a diabetic association in your area.
I recently donated a meter to a lady in California through a friend of hers that I met on the All Diabetic International (http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/alldiabeticinternational/) Yahoo Group. HTH.

Talk to your local CDE, they may have people in need. Or try the local uraban health clinics. Lower income diabetics would greatly appreciate it, I'm sure.

insulin-pumpers.org also accepts all kinds of things and distributes them to needy members.

I gave mine to the Red Cross and also I know a local doctor that has low income elderly clients..I give them my supplies even my "diabetic shoes" that I am fortunate to get once a year (they are new balance Tennis shoes). Check your local church...Catholic Charieties is yet another one I give materials too.

... gave back my previous one to the surgery I go to. They found a person to give it to straight away.
