I know there was a similar thread under Type 2 and I found it helpful to read some of that content and comment a couple times even though I'm type 1. So, I thought perhaps we could start a similar type 1 thread. This is such an important topic for me because if I can start the day well, my numbers are much more likely to be good throughout the day. If I start high sometimes the rest of the day is a roller coaster.

My BG this AM was 91. (Such an improvement after a couple uncharacteristically rough days of 204! and 171).

77 - on the low side of perfect for my morning reading. I don't like it over 90 when I wake.

74 this morning, yesterday was 140 which is high for me in the morning, but I chalk it up to the "adult Beverages" I had the night before;)

mornings are actually better than bedtime readings... when i get up, i'm usually around 8 to 9 (144 to 162)... the evenings however, they tend to go up to the mid to high teens... of course this isn't the case when i'm nearing a female visit, those days like to stay in the 20s (360)...

i'm currently working out my lantus schedule... obviously the bedtime one is working right but the waking one needs to go up...

93. Perfect :) I don't like being under 80 when I drive, and I leave pretty quick after I wake. And I don't like being over 115 (my usual morning "high" number). Between 90-115 is where I usually wake up in the morning.

I shouldn't have started this thread! :( I feel it's cursed me to have high BGs. 185 this a.m. I got a 10 mile run in on Sunday morning (at least that AM BG was good 85) and then dealt with borderline to low BGs the rest of the day so at night I overcorrected with a snack and basal reduction. But better safe than sorry. The good thing was I dropped from 185 to 95 with a 30 minute job and .4 units of insulin. If I hadn't jogged it would have taken 5 units to get the same effect and been a lot longer too.
