Hi everyone. This is my very first post. I am 30 years old and I have been living with Type 1 Diabetes for 16 years. I am currently on the Medtronic Insulin Pump, and I started using the pump in July of 2004. I am so thankful for it. I used to take 5 Insulin Injections a day. I am very excited about being apart of this wonderful community and would like to eventually get into the diabetic medical field. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of South Carolina and a Masters Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from SC State University. I look forward to chatting with everyone.

Welcome to the site. Like you I was diagnosed when I was about the same age as you. That was over 50 years ago and I'm still here complaining, and not likely to stop. I reckon you'll more than likely like this site and the people who frequent it. They're generally most friendly and informative people and I'm sure you'll learn a few ideas which will help you on your journey with this illness. - Mike
