Has anyone had any experience with MRI contrast causing a rise in BG? I had an MRI this morning and my BG was 99 before going, that was at 6:30 AM I had not eaten since last night. At about 9:30 AM my BG was at 155. I was even off the pump for about an hour. Nobody at the hospital said anything about this happening. If it is normal I would have thought they would have told me. You never know.

It could be one of 2 things...extra long fasting may have caused a low, which caused a glucose dump from your liver, or (more likely) the fact that you were off your pump for an hour...no continuous basal being pumped in = rising blood sugar.
