So I'm still very new to all this. Haven't even seen a Dr. since I was diagnosed (got an appt. this coming week). All I have for advise right now is the internet and you guys.....

So I got myself a BG meter and I've been testing myself 7-8 times a day. Before every meal, 2 hours after every meal, and then at night before bed.

Been on very low carb diet. And I'm also taking a Glyburide pill once a day. Usually 30 min. before dinner.

So what number am I aiming for? What's a good range to be in? I've mostly been in the 115-140 range, except for a few isolated spikes. Is that good? Or not so much?

That's good, Scaper. And the longer you continue your present regimen, you can prob'ly expect your range to drop lower, little by little. Sure hope so, anyhow! :D

Well, I sure hope so. Because as soon as I can get my blood pressure down I plan to start exercising like a fool and I plan to drop 70 lbs. or so. So hopefully if I can get my body back into prime shape then maybe I will be able to eat a little more carbs once in a while without it totally throwing my BG levels off.

I would be very happy with those readings! Good Job!:)
