when you get your doc/endo to write a script for your strips, how many do you get at a time?

my endo gives me 100 strips at a time (with like 20 repeats) but it's annoying to go to the pharmacy every two weeks.

is it unreasonable to ask for a prescription for 200 at a time do you think?

is this a silly question?! should i just stop complaining and be happy i can get the strips in the first place? ;)

My doc wrote me 200. I called the insurance company ahead of time and spoke with them and they said they covered 200 a month, so that's what I asked the doc to write it for.

Of course, immediately afterwards, I got **** from my pharmacist, and I'm almost out of strips.

SO, I'm going to have to have a talk, I think.

Edit: Ignore me, I just realized you said T1's in canada.

I'm neither a T1, nor in canada.. :( Sorry.

well i basically get an unlimited supply i suppose, but it annoys me that i have to go to the pharmacy every 10 days because the script is for 100 at a time...

i'd like to be able to pick up a month's supply all at once!

no, no! don't be sorry. i welcome everyone's feedback. i just titled it that for editing purposes so T2s who don't use a million strips didn't have to wade through it and move on ;)

it's not an exclusive club or anything! LOL.

Healthcare in Canada is by province. Much of it is not nationwide.

I don't need scripts nor does my insurer. I buy whatever I want, I pass Blue X a receipt, and they give me money.

I get 300 at a time and my friend gets 500 at a time, no problems.

I am 2 and my dr writes my scripts for 200 at a time with I think 6 repeats. I think this is his way of making sure I see him often. And yes I am in canada.
