experation?

My first vile was a 90 day supply. After a few days the Dr. told me to increase my units. This doubled my usage. When I got low I called and had the Dr. to call in a new scrip. This is when I found out about the 28 day experation. I was sold a 90day bottle with the pharmacist and the manufactor knowing of the experation date. My question is why did I have to pay for 90 day supply if the medician is only good for 28. I was useing medician that was expired. My new scrip. is three - 30 day supply bottles. Again why am I paying for 30 days when the experation is 28 days? Two days a month times 12 is 24 days that's almost a months worth of medcian a year I will be throwing away.
Does anyone else have a problem with this? confused:(

First, it expires 28 days after opening the vial.

Second, it doesn't really expire. They say that to cover their butts. I and others have gone over 28 days many times. We rarely hear of viles going bad. Generally these have been exposed to extreme temperatures. I'm about to hit my 34th anniversary, and I've never had any go bad.

If it does become a problem, try asking for penfils. They are 1/3 the size of a full vial.
