Newb *flame suit on*
I just registered today and saw several different posts in reference to the One Touch Ping insulin pump. I went to the Lifescan site and couldnt find anything about it. I'm always interested in new diabetic technology but couldn't find any real "stuff" about the pump. I have a Minimed 722 w/CGMS but it never hurts to look around to see what else is out there
Any links?

Hmmm.............................................. .........................
I think just searching OneTouch Ping into your favorite search engine should do the trick.

It comes up on top of the list of all search engines with just OneTouch Ping, not hard to find at all.

Pretty rude for a 5th post, dontcha think? Perhaps you should take some Google-fu lessons.

The "*newb flame suit on*" part struck me as an interesting way to start a thread just asking about the Ping. I probably deserved the post, but then it seems anyone who is familiar with the definition of "flame" in a forum would also be familiar with a search engine and the simplicity of getting information about anything with just a few words, especially when you know the actual name of something. These things are why I didn't just post a link, it made me question the intentions of the OP. Maybe I'm just hypersensitive.

Seriously, it was a request for straightforward information. I have found some difficulty finding ping stuff as well at times! Yes I guess that means you can have a go at me for my search abilities, too. But as for the first post, if someone was really having a go at Animas I'm sure they could do a lot better than that.

a straightforward request that needs to start with the idea it will cause flaming??? Had that part been missing the red flag might not have surfaced.
I typed in OneTouch Ping in google and yahoo and OneTouch Ping comes up at the top of the list every time. Its not like looking for something you don't know the name of.

Don't bow out, Katherine. I've been having the same thoughts myself, for the same reason. But I'm not just about to let one obstreperous member drive me away. (and Subby knows I'm not referring to him.)

My post was just my own thoughts, including my own attitude of tolerance to getting mixed up with websites as stated in the first post, because I do that sort of thing quite regularly, and might forget a simple step like a simple web search before asking the experts. Yes - really.
I didn't expect that my opinion would need to be so aggressively "dealt with" - but I wasn't really offended. Just stating what I saw. You had a go at people not web searching, what, 4 times? That's called flogging a dead horse where I come from. All this over a comment about a "newbie flame suit", which is vaguely prickly but could mean a few things.
Now you are talking about leaving. Yes, I think you are being oversensitive, for what that is worth. So what. Most of us get that way sometimes.

*sigh*
I did do a google search prior to posting my failure here... I just hate going to third party sites for information and I wanted to go directly to the source company and hoped someone here knew of one. I tried Lifescan (onetouch) but found nothing and I had never heard of Animas until someone pointed me to their direction.
Chill peeps. Not trying to troll the forum. Just adding a little spice

No, Katherine, Im there with you. You were trying to be helpful. If the op thought you were overstating it, he didn't need to comment so rudely. Not a good move as a newbie in a community.

This is a new member. I personal would run in the other direction if I saw such bickering with my first question. We have all had questions that appear simple or obvious to others but leave us briefly confused.
Can we all have a little respect for each other and move on. I don't believe anyone meant any harm.
