My mother recently passed due to complications from diabetes, and she has a giant stockpile of monitors, syringes, and medtronic stuff. Is there a forum or location..maybe ebay or something that is a good place to sell these things?

If the stuff is new and unopened, then eBay is certainly one way to go. It'll help someone else afford them, and put a few dollars into your pocket. I buy testing strips on eBay all the time.

Unsure if there are groups that collect that sort of thing to help those without health insurance - perhaps your Mom's doctor's office may know.

I'm so sorry for your loss, britdevine.

Alot of the stuff is Medtronic Equipment related stuff as she used a pump for the past several years..I know this stuff is expensive without insurance. I know my mom used to sell some stuff over the past few years, but I dont know where or what she really sold.

is there any type of Diabetic supply selling forum somewhere?

And yes, all the stuff is new/unopened/sealed and all that. I found a giant stash while I was cleaning out her house a few days ago and am trying to figure out what to do with it

Selling it would probably violate most forum rules.

Perhaps you could contact her doctor's office and they could give your phone number to another patient who could possibly benefit from them.

Its against the law to sell prescription supplies, which all the Minimed supplies would be. Ebay no longer allows it because of this. Its also fraud. You should contact your doctor to find out where you might be able to donate them, to an organization that helps those without insurance.

Thats annoying...I guess I will call her doctor then to find a person to donate them to or just toss themin the garabge...I don't think I would trust the doctor enought to give them to him to (donate) them himself.

Find a Diabetes clinic or just drop the stuff off at a senior's care facility.

You can donate your supplies to the Charles Ray Foundation (http://www.cr3.org/). I believe that they are now only accepting Paradigm model pumps & supplies, not older Minimed pumps like the 508.
