As a newly diagnosed diabetic, I was wondering. Are the complications associated with diabetes inevitable, I mean, are we destined to get one of these complications, or can we prevent them?

Stay positive, there are some members here on the forums with a bunch of years with D, let's say over 20, or 30
with no complications.
