Im a type 2 diabetic. I have a great glucose control with very little effort.

I have been making some test. Yesterday, I ate a full dish of mexican beans, two tortillas, a couple of potatoes and some pasta. Also, I drank a diet soda.

Half an hour later, my glucose was 120.
One hour later, it was 118.
Two hours later, 91.
Five hours later, 85.

Those that means that I can eat all that without problem?

Just because you can eat this w/o problems doesn't mean you should on a regular basis.

One time doesn't make a trend. Try it a few more times and see if you get similar results. Good for you for testing to see how your blood sugar responded!

I find that every once in awhile I can eat something from my old life w/o problems, but if I eat it regularly, I become more sensitive to it blood sugar wise. You may be very early on in your diabetic journey right now and have better tolerances than you will on down the road.

It's good that you can have things you enjoy at times w/o a lot of problems.

That is good that you have good control now however; remember that diabetes is progressive. I once had great control with very little effort and a few years later that may not be the case. Do not abuse your body now and maybe you can remain that way with diet and exercise.

Thanks for your answers. I just was wondering if I could eat all that. I will keep the testint and, of course, I will not abuse my body.:)
