possible infection

I have been on insulin pump for 10 years and I think I may have a infection from it it is red hard and size of a 50 cent coin.
How do I know and what can I do get rid of it.

more like a quarter and I did put insert 2 or 3 times very close together

Go see a docter expecially if starts getting bigger!! also I don't use a pump but you might try inserting on the other side far away from that spot for a while.

I haven't ever had a red bump that large, but there have been a few times where the site itches and makes a red bump where the set was inserted and I have found that scratching it off or even pushing on it (popping it, in a sense) makes mine go away. I would also recommend perhaps applying some peroxide and neosporin on it. Cortizone cream should help as well. BUT if it is hot to the touch and swelling, I would not hesistate going to the dr ASAP. Hope it goes away soon!
