Even if it is under diabetic conditions.....

I was in the ER a week ago with all the symptoms...loved the weight loss but not the method. I was batheing my innards with ice water for a week before the lightbulb went on. Compared to two other people in there my 425 reading was low.

I'm just glad to know what is going on and I hope to be in the mode soon. I have just gotten my meds ordered and go Monday to learn how to stick myself. I'm supposed to start on metformin and byetta....the ER has me on glucatrol until then. Don't have the meter yet....have to wait till Monday.

Good thing someone said .....relax.

Welcome.

Good thing someone said .....relax.

Relax yes, but never relax your vigilance. Your pills are no cure.

I see that and hope to stay focused. I've always needed a plan to accomplish hard things like this. I just did a medical drug detox a year ago. Me and Dr think this started me down the road to diabetes...it was a huge stress....It took me all this year to heal and I'm still not right.

I've been looking all over for plans, interactive food counters and such....does anyone have a favorite? I should probably start a plain food and meds notebook. I thought i read of an EXCEL program...anyone know where to find it? Thank you, Sara

Hi cheeps & Welcome to the forum!

Once you get your meter, be sure to test as often as possible, limit your carbohydrate intake, and get in some form of exercise if you're able and not already doing so.
