As I am getting to learn more and more, I have found that stress can greatly increase BG. Am I right on target with this as I am pretty stressed today with my situation and BG after 2 hours breakfast was 173 instead of normal 145-150 since I started treatment a week ago?

I haven't noticed an increase on the BG because of stress. But I have noticed that if I'm stressed, I sleep a little less/less quality sleep, which makes me crave for carbs/sweets more, which again leads to a little bit higher BG.

Stress is definately correlated with Hgh BG for me....if the cause is directly stress such a fight or flight and liver dumps..sure is possible...also contributing factors such as change in eating, sleeping, and exercise habits that accompany stress are also sure to skew the numbers..

stress relief is super important..for all sorts of physical conditions (not to mention mental!)...and is a likely culprit in the manifestation and/or progression for many illnesses..including heart issues, digestive issues, immunosuppressive disorders, and i even recently heard cancer itself.

Take care of yourself! Being new to all of this it is sure to be overwhelming, but you have made an excellent choice by searching for knowledge and support. Welcome to DF!
