My husband had a glucose test done. They told him to fast ( no drink nothing) for 12 hours . His appointment was in the afternoon so he hadn't eaten in 17 or 18 hours instead of 12. He ate the night before. They just did the finger stick once no nasty orange drink. They said it was 102 and normal. I thought 102 was pre-diabetes and since it was longer than 12 hours shouldn't it have been lower ? Or am I crazy ? His mother lost her kidney & almost her foot because of diabetes. He's been passing out , getting the shakes ,blurry vision , headaches, sore muscles , nausea , leg swelling and more. They have been testing him for everything under the sun for a year including Lupus , congestive heart failure & Gallbladder problems. All normal. I am worried it's his sugar levels and no dr takes me serious. He drank a throw back mountain dew . The ones made with the sugar cane. He got so sick he could barely walk & was disoriented. Do you think I should ask for a retest ?
