Book: The Insulin Resistant Diet

"The Insulin Resistant Diet" Have any of you read it? It was published in 2001 and a friend suggested that I read it. Any thoughts and comments?


I also purchased "The Complete Idiot's Guide: Glycemic Index Cookbook". Has anyone read this and any thoughts or comments?

There are hundreds of sites out there listing the glycemic index/glycemic load of foods. While I found it to be a pretty accurate guide as to what I could eat and couldn't eat, there were still some exceptions. It kind of reaffirmed the individuality of this disease and the importance of finding out about your own body through frequent testing.
