Sometimes a little perspective is a good thing....
I just read an e-mail from a mother of 5 school age children who has stage 4 cancer. She has been battling this for many years and the tumors keep popping up. She is in a ton of pain. Cannot walk on her own, cannot drive, can't do all of the things that she said she felt defined her as a wife and mother. She has a great attitude and has faith, peace, and even joy at times.
I'm so grateful that at this stage of my life God has allowed me to deal with something that I can control to some extent. Yes, there is no cure for the "D", but we have many treatment options.
There are worse things than diabetes and I have MUCH to be grateful for (including all of you).
