I just got a new usb data cable for my Freestyle Lite meter. I used to use the old serial cable with a usb adapter for my Mac and it worked fine on my Macbook Air, but wasn't working on my Powerbook. They upgraded me to the usb cable but the software that came with it only has PC drivers. Does anyone know where I could download the drivers for Mac? I called Abbott but they had no idea...

Thanks.

A couple of options; you could get a usb - serial converter and use the old serial cable, or you could try downloading the generic Prolific drivers (http://www.prolific.com.tw/support/files/%5CIO%20Cable%5CPL-2303%5CDrivers%20-%20Generic%5CMacOS%5CMacOS%2010.x%5Cmd_pl2303H_HX_ X_dmg_v1.2.1r2.zip) as I believe the Abbott cable uses the Prolific chipset.

Thank you! I will try downloading that driver. I already have a serial to usb converter which works on my Air, but for some reason stopped working on my Powerbook.
Thanks again- and let's hope it works!

That driver still didn't work. I think it was actually the same one I had for the old cable. Any other ideas?
