Congratulations! I don't miss the numerous daily pokes at all. Is this your first pump?

Most people who switch to a pump love it and would never want to go back to injections. It can take a little while to get used to it. I know I was frustrated a lot for the first several months and there were times I wanted to throw it at a wall. Anything that I thought would be a problem wasn't. Sleeping with it wasn't an issue, wearing it, inserting the infusion sets etc.

Does anyone know where I can get some good research on insulin pumps? I am probably going to get one in March when I go back to my endo, and want to know everything about it before I make the leap!

The pump forum right here, has a few stickies worth reading through about pumps, pump technology, options. Realms of info in the forum, but though as per the nature of forum posts you may need to trawl a bit.
The Children with Diabetes website has some reasonable, distilled pump information pages, search the web for the site and look on the left hand side for pump information. There are likely a few similar sources around.
If you are serious about this enough to chase down or order a book, I would highly recommend getting "pumping insulin" by John Walsh. I got this a year after starting pumping, and not only did I kick myself for not getting it for when starting and getting the pump working, but for before: there is a whole section dedicated to educating pre-pump, and the wheres, hows, whats, etc, in making the decision to pump! If you get the book and read it carefully, you will be in the strongest position to be informed and educated about what pumping entails.
That said, pumping is like taking a plunge. That doesn't mean don't research it - but just realise that how it works for your body, and how you "get along" with a pump, can't be worked out before actually trying it. So just don't expect to be able to "know" exactly what pumping entails for you.
