Was just wondering how you ladies wear your pumps. I tend to slip it into my bra or else I wear tight knickers where I put it down the side. bit of a nuisance really. I don't want it to be obvious either.
Are there places where one can buy clothing specifically designed for pump users?

pumpwearinc sells stuff, just Google insulin pump accessories.
I usually just keep mine in my pocket, but as its getting colder out, I've been keeping it in my bra, under my breasts, so I don't get a weird lump in my shirt. If I'm wearing two shirts, I might clip it to the collar of the undershirt and cover than with another shirt.

Thanks for that. I will wear scarves, cardigans to cover any pump bumps.

I wear my pump clipped to the front of my bra (have fairly large bust) and provided I don't wear overly open or low shirts/tops my pump is not noticeable.

Maybe I'm just weird but I don't hide mine. I wear it out and proud. :)
Not sure what a skirt or dress is :D So am always in trousers(pants) My pocket pancreas is just that, sits in my pocket no problem at all. If no pockets then it's clipped to my waist band/belt.

Cin, I'm the same way!
My pump is always worn attached to the waistband of my shorts, pants or skirt, depending what I'm wearing that day. I very rarely wear a dress, but when I do, I wear a pair of bike shorts (or Spanx) and again, attach the pump to the waistband.

I clip mine to my waistband too. I usually pull a shirt over it, which leaves a bump, but I don't bother too much with trying to hide it. I used to try more, and then I just got so that I didn't care.
I've tried to put in in my bra clipped in the centre, but on me it shows, and it made it harder to bolus, etc. (I don't have a remote).
I used to be worried about having it too "out there", but people rarely ask about it, and so many people clip phones or MP3 players to their pants, so its not that unusual. If anyone does ask about it, I take it as an opportunity to educate someone a bit on diabetes!

Bethany, I had extenseive laser therapy on both eyes back in 1984 - just saw your post.
Regarding educating people about diabetes I find I'm tired of it now. Nondiabetics are nosy I think, I mean it's pretty wierd how we stick needles in ourselves. My best one was at the gym when i explained I had an insulin pump and the instructress asked "oh, are you a diabetic?". Man, I looked at her - if looks could have shown how stupid I thought she was.
Anyway, that's how I feel and that's why I like to keep the pump under-cover.
Then on the other hand with mobiles and all the other computer paraphenalia nowadays an insulin pump dosen't look that odd.
Hey, just meandering along on this topic!

I'm not worried about anyone seeing it. I'm more concerned about the insulin getting too cold. Its November in Minnesota - by January, it will be REALLY cold.

From a fellow Minnesotan, winters aren't so bad to the pump if you simply wear it in the pocket of your jeans. I haven't had a problem with mine yet and this will be winter number two. Have also worn it on a belt of my jeans with no problems. Jacket keeps it covered and warm enough.

Mine's been fine in Winnipeg! I wear it inside my coat for short outings. If I'm doing something that keeps me outside for longer (e.g. tobogganing) I've been known to clip it to my bra to keep it even closer to my body and under more layers. Never had a problem yet!

SPI belt all the way on the recommendation of this forum. These are wonderful little sports belts with a zipped pouch which a pump fits into beautifully.
I wear pants of some kind usually and I just wear the belt around my hips. Honestly, I don't care much what it looks like ;)
I found that clipping to a waistband didn't work to well as I'm very active and when lifting things or bending the clip would dig into me.
