Does this differ depending on the weather? Summer two days versus winter 3 days?

i guess it differs because in the summer your more active and you may be using less insulin. so yea

I agree, after three days my site starts to itch and bother me...then it is time to move it...usually I don't wait that long...but sometimes I hate putting new sites.

I hate putting new sites also, but its better than the four shots i was taking before the pump, so i just look at it like that....four shots or once every three days...hmmmm what would you choose lol

I totally agree, but shots are not as painful as the sites I use. BTW, how do you like your minimed...I almost went with a minimed because that is what my uncle has but my dietician talked me into the disetronic.

I was informed by my Endo to try to stay in one area for at least a week, lets say the left side of my abdomen and then switch to another side to allow for healing time. Does this work for you guys and gals?

Does this work for you guys and gals? See I was told to switch sides each time. Each time put it front of the last one on that side. So by the time you get back to where you started it should be healed.

I do it like Tony does (more or less). I switch sides each time and also rotate between my belly, butt and thighs. Its 3 weeks before I return to a previous area (assuming no early set changes) and I make sure I dont put it right on top of the previous site when I do go back. 3 weeks gives me plenty of healing time.

Thanks for the info. I will try this instead of staying in one area. How far over on your stomach do you go? starting from your bellybutton out? I was told not to go further than 12 inches from the belly button.. I am a bleeder on the side of my abdomen.

Thanks for the anwsers. I have a low BG level before meal but wasn't sure if I should post it here.

Who makes quick sets? Is that minimed or disetronic or some other brand?

yeah, Disetronic (the pump company I use) has one called the UltraFlex, but that is the one I use and it hurts after awhile. I used to use the tender but you have to put it in at a slant and it must be an 1 1/2" long. That one got old quick but it seemed to be much sharper.
