Hello all,
I found i was t2 4 weeks ago, with bm 26.I am on metformin and gliclazide and the last couple of days i have been getting closer to normal and feelling a lot better.I have been getting these sort of twitches all over my body, more so from the knees down though they are calming down also now.Has anyone experienced this ??is it a common sympton ?? It is possible i have been diabetic for some time as i have not been feeling 100% for months.I have a lot to learn, hope this forum can teach me a thing or two.
I know i have to take care of feet,is this just were open sores are concerned , i am sure i have broken my toe today ,does this need any special attention

kimbo, welcome to the forum, I hope you find lots of answers to your questions. As for the foot, I think you need to get it look at and have the doc be aware. I was discussing my diabetes with my friend and she told me that her mother in law had broken a toe and didn't do anything about it and ended up getting half her foot amputated. I don't want to scare you but if your sugars are that high it might take quite a time to heal...I'd play it safe and let my doc know. Don't be afraid to ask lots, lots, and oh, lots of questions here. It's a great resource.

Hi Kimbo! Welcome! I'm pretty new here also, and have learned so much! I definately think you need to see your doctor ASAP about your toe. I am only pre-diabetic at this time, but my doctor still looks at my feet at each visit, and is very concerned when I tell her anything about my feet. Don't put this off! ;)

kimbo Hello and welcome to our Family...
I have not had the twitches sensations at all..

When I was Diagnosed my then Dr. said he suspects I had Diabetes for about 2 years..I had no clue so that is possible that you were Diabetic before you found out...

as far as your Toe I would get to a Dr. ASAP at least let him/her know about your injury

Good afternoon everyone. I have been lurking for awhile as I have been down with a very sore ear. First of all I would like to welcome all the new members. It is so great to see so many finding this site. It is so helpful and informative. I am finding that things I more or less took for granted for so long shouldn't be. I have not had problems with my ears for years but about 3 weeks ago I had such a problem I ended up going to the dr. To make a long story short--I still have the problem in spite of pills, & drops. I am sure learning that even an earache takes a lot longer to get over.

:) Hi Kimbo and welcome. I am also T2 (8 months) I would strongly advise that you see your doctor about your toe. The thought of anything bad happening to my feet terrifies me and I constantly check mine for damage, not that I have found any. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Once again welcome to the forum it's an awsome place with many people with so much knowlede.

:) Hey Kimbo...Welcome to a great place... so glad that you found us!!

I am T1 myself... but any problems with feet T1 or T2 should go and get them checked out with your Dr.

Hope to see ya around often!
