Im a T1 but out of curiosity, do T2s that are on insulin ever get on a pump?

I am T2 and was told by one of you guys...can't quite remember who...that T2's can pump. I don't mind injecting and so wouldn't consider it right now. However, ten years from now I might change my mind so it's nice to know that it's an option.

I would think they could but I don't think they would be hooked 24/7.

T2's can pump, and can also pump 24/7.

I am T2, and have worn an insulin pump 24/7 for over 2 years. ...never would go back to injections! :D
Good Morning everyone, We have a beautiful day here in central Alberta and I hope you all are having a great day as well. As my husband and I are T2 and our dr. is finally sending us to an endo I am trying to find out all I can about insulin and shots etc. I have a hunch that I may be put on it and want to know all I can before I go there. Carbokid would you mind telling me just how this pumping works for you and why is it better than shots, and what kinds of insulin you use. How long were you on shots before the pump and what were your sugars like when they decided to give you insulin? I would really appreciate the info.
Zookeeper, your little pic of the dog and cat got my to giggling as I have seen our mutts do that to our cat so often, now I know what to tell them. :whistling

carbokid: why did you decide to pump? Were you on insulin before hand or just oral meds? I'd appreciate any info that you have. Thanks
