Thought Id share this .........
22 years ago on this same, Memorial Day weekend, I was real thin, frail, dyeing of thirst, and didn't have a clue what was going on. I was about to be diagnosed with something that would change my life completely. I was in the hospital by this time learning how to give myself shots, practicing on an orange, LOL. I guess I thought at that moment it would eventually go away.... NOT! Here I am though, still struggling.

Be proud of yourself for coming so far! Everyone struggles with this disease at times, but we can't give up. We have to keep fighting the good fight and make the most of each day. 22 years with Diabetes is a long time, and I do believe that you are doing ok ;)
Keep showing this disease who's boss! :D
Take care,
Andrea
I find the members here who have fought this thing for decades to be very inspirational, thanks for reminding us it can be done!

hey there Canadian,
I think as times goes on and your body becomes adjusted to the insulin, slowly but surely you will have a better control. Patience is something that probably doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now, cause you want a bit of control, but you must have it. You will achieve good control, with the correct insulin regimen and food in check. Good luck!

Honestly I think you have to find some kind of stable line before anymore changes are made. When do they see you next? The blood test will tell a lot.
