passing out

I know im not the only one here that fears passing out from low blood sugar. I was just wondering if I could be in the doctor’s care and they shoot me with a large dose of insulin. Just to know what to expect and know that it really isn’t as bad as I think. When I think of lows I always think of dying... physiological thing... has anyone else thought about this. Kinda like getting over your fears.

Yes, it is as bad as you think, maybe even worse. I passed out two weeks ago and broke my two front teeth. I've also broken my nose three times after passing out. It is something you do not want to do. There is a very good chance you'll have a seizure and believe me, you don't want to be lying face down bashing your face on the floor. I know, I've done it.

b/c the last time I went to the endo she gave me a referral to the physiatrist to talk about my fear of low blood sugar (this is all b/c I told her I don’t like my sugars in the low 100's) anyways just wondering.

I feel the same way, in fact I just posted somwthing that happened to me less than an hour ago. I understand you perfectly, I spent a long time with high blood sugar due to this fear. I agree, you must overcome it and sounds like you will. :o

Who knows? And come to find out after trying to get prescriptions called in to the local Wal-Mart that they close every Friday and of course my luck it was memorial day weekend... then on monday they inform me she is moving out west.... leaving the state. Thanks DOC.....
