For those of you that like to clean your insulin......Recently I left a bottle in some PJ pants. I did laundry using hot water etc....and low and behold I had washed the insulin to...Now what do I do? throw it away or use it (brand new bottle) Well, I decided to go ahead and use it and see what happens. It did not change the effects of the insulin at all. So lesson learned.....the heat should be much hotter than the hot water in the washer before ruining insulin...Don't plan on washing the insulin on a weekly bases (cell phoned don't wash well either) :whistling

Wow, Belinda, I'm surprised that it didn't break! :eek: Then you would have that lovely insulin smell all over your clothes, which I'm sure you would love :D

Iv'e heard of money laundering, but this is a new one. What type insulin got washed, was it lantus, humalog, what? some types are more sensitive, but I find my humalog very resiliant to heat - I left my insulin kit in the car one whole weekend in the Texas heat, parked in the open sun at the airport. I was afraid to look, but it was still clear. I did not throw it out, instead I took it back to the pharmacy and asked what they thought, the pharmistist was so sweet that he traded me for a brand new bottle since mine had never been opened.

I absolutly hated this course, but i've been sitting here trying to figure out what your saying and trying to convince myself that I actually knew what I was doing in that darn class - - Guess what, I didn't and I don't - - Convert Pleeeeeaaaassseee.

64 32 16 8 4 2 1
1 0 0 1 0 0 1= 73 ???

Unless your doing the alphabet then I'm totally off...
