usually when I am excessively thirsty I check my BS too. I can normally tell if it is high by the excessive thirst...over 250. This would be my only explanation for you unless you ate something extremly salty
Kimbo, I'm not trying to be a smart alec, but you are allowed to get thirsty...You are human. :D
I think as diabetics we get caught up in recognizing symptoms, and forget some symptoms are actually normally physiological responses. Heck, if you're thirsty, drink.

Yes, I think that Duck's right. It's so easy to get hung up on symptoms and equate thirst with diabetes.
If thirsty - drink (water) and the thirst should go away. As Duck said thirst is allowed if you havn't drunk enough fluid as hunger is allowed if you haven't eaten anything in the past 3 to 4 hours.

yeah, i would say your just thirsty, now if your still thirsty no matter how much you drink for long periods at a time then it may be something to look at

This has happened to me in the past, and my DR has told me it is due to the oral medciation I take.
