Hi, My last a1c was 6.3, I have been type 1 for 26yrs and test my blood sugar multiple times daily. I have been put on a new drug called Mirapex and have noticed increased blood sugar levels. I have spoken to pharmacist and Dr. that dx this new med and both have told me the drug has no side affects pertaining to blood sugar levels. Both recommend to test and speak with a nutrionist about my diet, lol (btw, my diet hasn't changed at all). Anyways, could you all please tell me what I can do to definately test this new med and bg levels to give to my Dr. if they do indeed collide? Thank You.

Looks like it may bother your digestive system and your blood pressure. Anything that may change your metabolism most likely affect bg's. Make out a food log for a couple of weeks before you see the doc the next time and present it to him if your still running high. Maybe by then you will have adjusted to it and your bg's have settled down.
