I've gotten hooked on this Green tea. They say it can help lower B.S, and that's just a bonus for me.

It seems to have a calming effect, and makes u feel 'good' when diabetes can sometimes leave u feeling crappy from highs/lows.

Have you noticed it effect your blood sugar levels at all?

I have loads of it some where left over from when I drank everything and anything before being diagnosed. I really liked it before but I seem to have gone off it now, which is a shame because it has some good benefits and much healthier than english tea that I drink too much of at the moment. I used to drink loads of camomile tea too, but have also gone off that :o that really used to help me get to sleep at night!... I might try to get my taste buds liking it again I think soon.

Yeah, and the key is to get the really good quality herbal tea... usually found in asian market stores and such. They really are the best.

I add a little bit of Sweetner (Sugar Twin) to offset the bitterness and it tastes great!

So many ppl are now drinking green tea. I have yet to drink it regularly...I did only taste it...the Sobe brand...but, I MAY have to try it again...my only problem is I've been caffeine free from soda and such for over a year and a half now(only drink water)...I will have to let Eri try it...we have it at the pizzeria(the employees do anyway) :)

I have been buying the large jugs of Arizona Diet (with Splenda) Green Tea and enjoying it while finding it reasonably priced. However, I need to track what it does to my blood sugars a bit more. Had some odd numbers on a recent trip (although it was just before I got sick with severe bronchitis) that have me wondering if it caused any spikes, but I can't be sure.

I LOVE :tee: the Arizona Green tea ... we buy it by the gallon (usually 4-5 gallons at the time). I haven't noticed any change in BG. Sobe makes a good one too but I have trouble finding the sugar free version.

To the other decaffeinated person posting... I have found decaf green teas at a health food store... what I don't know is whether the antioxidant properties are still intact. ???? That would be the main reason for me to drink it.

according to the health food store by my house the decaf green tea they carry (and I buy a lot of) is still full of antioxidents.

I've been drinking green tea recently. One that I have found that I like is Salada(brand) Green Tea Mandarin Delight (Mandarin and clove flavors). Add a little sweetner (I use Equal) and it's pretty good. Has a calming effect on me.:top:

Green tea is great! I get Zen and Lotus (decaf) by Starbucks Tazo Tea if I want hot tea, and I also buy the Arizona diet green tea by the gallon. It's so much better for you that diet soda and coffee, and it tastes so good! What have you heard about it's benefits for BGs?
