So..I'm fully aware that feet are an important thing to take care of..but I was wondering if I should just leave this as a "oh I've been standing all day..that's why" or if I should go take to my doctor about it...
The last few days my feet have really been hurting. I need to get new shoes..as mine now are worn to the plastic on the inside of the heel..but last night I got a bunch of blisters from my shoes, and my work shoes are pretty comfy..have a nice soft sole..but I just got home from work..and my feet seriously feel like they are bleeding. :(
I donno if I should just try and stay off my feet for the next few hours(I do have to sleep for atleast 4hours tonight since I have a training shift first thing in the morning)..or go to the clinic tomorrow afternoon and have my feet looked at??

I supose it depends on just how bad they are. Are they actually bleeding?
I got blisters all over my feet the other day and they were really painful. The bottom of both my feet were really hurting too. But I had chance to rest them for completely over the next day. Also giving them a good bathing helped ease the pain, just be careful not to burst the blisters, bursting thems not good aparently but I don't actually know why.
If you do have to go out and use you're feet, try using some plasters...um...bandaids... what ever you call em :p Just so that they don't get anyworse.
It sounds like if you rest them then you'll be fine. But going to the clinic couldn't do any harm.... unless it's a long walk :whistling

yeah I soaked them just now in hot water..and my blister on the side of my right foot popped..so I have a new bandaid on it. and my feet are covered in bandaids from where the skin is coming off from being scraped so much :S
I'm not going to have a day to rest them..as I work at both my jobs, and volunteering at the folkfest..until the 10th of july without a day off...

coming from someone who out of the blue had to have a toe amputated....go to the DOCTOR..get some shoes that fit right and are appropriate for what your doing..blisters are not good and can end result in foot ulcers, which then get infected and as a diabetic you should know that infections are hard to clear up..especially on your feet. Don't chance it and just go to the doctor. What can it hurt? I go if I notice anything on my feet that is out of the ordinary and doesn't get better within a couple of days. Sometimes they give me antibiotic to clear it up and request I come back in 2-4 weeks to check and make sure it heals correctly. Sometimes they just tell me to put neosporin on it and watch it, stay off feet as much as possible etc..but at least I know (and in my mind that is all I need)

I agree thee fellow members, just for precaution you should have your doc take a look. Better safe than sorry. You might have HOT SPOTS caused by friction or pressure. Blisters can turn in to unexpected surprises you don't want. Good luck and keep us posted :)

k. I'm like..soooooo busy cuz of work..but I'll try and get to the clinic down the street from me tomorrow(if they are open!) before I go to my closing shift at one of my jobs.
my blister is like..hurting cuz its popped..and i've walked so much today that my left foot was starting to really hurt, so during my friend's bands set..i had to lean on my right foot.. :S

You can't mean to tell me a job is that important as to lose a body part...come on here, let them know that you will either have to leave early or come in late because of a doctors appointment. There may be place insensitive to people missing work but those are the ones I would not chose to work for.
This is your life and your overall health, I don't seem to sound harsh but you and only you have to stand up for yourself and your health needs.

I know, I just couldn't miss any of this, because it would mean getting fired. and my feet actually don't hurt anymore. I didn't get up a lot during the training session, so I was able to relax them. but i'm gonna go get it checked out. the clinic isn't open now, so I will go tomorrow cuz i dont work til the evening :)

Go to the doctor, This comes from someone who has had foot ulcer's for five years now. I've lost all my jobs due to this, but my feet are still attached. I'm right now recovering from surgery, having graphs applied in order to heal them, this is my third time this year. GO TO THE DOCTOR !!

One of the problems that we diabetics have is that we don't heal well. If you neglect things and the sores turn into something more serious, they might never heal. I'm with the others, get your feet looked at before something more serious happens

yeah went to the doctor and he gave me a prescription for some ointment for the cuts and blisters on my feet. and checked out my arm cuz its swollen...probably just from overdoing it at work. but yeah, feet are fine, they don't hurt or anything now and i've got stuff to put on my cuts and stuff to make them heal faster, with less chance of infection.
