Endocrine Associates of Dallas is a very good group and who I used when I started the pump and until I moved from the Dallas area. I really like Dr. Aronoff, but he may not be taking new patients these days. They have offices in N. Dallas & Plano.

When I moved back to the Dallas area, they no longer took my insurance. After a LOT of shopping, I am very happy with Endocrine & Diabetes Associates, Dr. Bussey in particular. Their offices are in Medical City off Forest.

Both have nutritionist and diabetic nurses in same offices.

Hope this helps.

Endocrine Associates of Dallas is a very good group

I will second this. I went through an endo that put me on a pump (Disetronic) 4 years ago, then 6 months into it told me I had to talk to my educator in order to change my basal rates (in other words she didn't know how and I was too stupid to do it myself). Well that educator was about 15 yrs my senior and was hitting on me during pump training. That was the last time I saw that doc (pm me if you want names).

Next I went to an internist (who was not an endo) and he was about as interested in you as a dead tree stump would be, plus the last time I saw him I had to wait 1.5 hours (NO LIE) for my appointment. Needless to say that was the last time I saw him.

Since then I've seen Dr. Mitchell Sorsby at Endocrine Associates of Dallas. As mentioned they have offices in both Dallas and Plano. Dr. Sorsby is very direct, open and honest doc, but fairly easy going. He spent nearly 45 minutes with me on my first appointment and was very patient.

But, my best experience with them comes from their in house diabetes educator - Beth Baltazar. She is awesome. She's a diabetic of 15 years and wears a minimed 515 herself. She was very fair at representing all of the pumps, speaking to pros and cons of each. I picked out my new MiniMed 715 and she got the paperwork done the next day. I saw her on a Monday and I had my pump that Friday - no lie. They do pump training in house so you go to their office and not to some other educator paid for by the pump company.

I would highly recommend them.

Plano 972-867-4658

Good luck!

Barcino Took the words out of my mouth.
Beth Baltazar is a superstar. She has a great attitude and great people skills.
Been seeing Dr Soresby for years. Endocrine associates are very well respected in the city. But they are getting selective as to the Insurance they take.
