Hi there everyone.
Look before I begin I wanna say sorry if i'm being a bit to explicit for this forum.
I'm type one, 6 years now, blood sugars OK cholestorol OK (well 5/6) Fit NOT overweight, In fact Docs always comment on how healthy I am....BUT
I developed Peryonies about 6 months OK, went in for the Operation to have it straightened, and the Doc didnt do it, said the bend wasnt severe enough??
Well (heres the explicit bit so SORRY) Before Peryonies I used to produce a lot of sperm when my partner and I had sex (she said too much).
NOW I'm lucky if I produce a thimble full, and of course she is out of her mind with worry that I am having sex elsewhere????? (Which I'm NOT)
But put yourself in her shoes????
Has anyone else had this problem???
because I have researched the www throughly and cannot seem to find answers.
Once again folks.........SORRY
I'm not a urologist (though I play one on TV)...
Okay, jokes aside. I googled "low-ejaculate output" and got this:
A low ejaculate volume can reflect abnormalities in accessory sex gland fluid synthesis or secretion (18). It can also be indicative of a physical obstruction somewhere in the reproductive tract (18), or may occur in cases of incomplete or (partially) retrograde ejaculation (6).
http://www.vasreversal.homestead.com/semen_analysis.html
So, you may need to discuss these possibilities with your doctor (and your hunny).
Also, another cause that I heard on "CSI" can be if you have reason to ejaculate frequently, each successive incident will be at a lower volume. There is a recovery time for "normal" output, and for each man it is different.
I am not aware of this being a symptom of diabetes, or a complication. The primary complication for men is the ability to hold an erection since both nerve and vascular damage can occur with consistent high blood sugars.

Never feel sorry for asking valid questions. The majority of folks here are "of age." Even those who aren't seem to have more elevated levels of maturity....guess that's one good side effect of Diabetes. ;) Although I'm a gal and can't really provide good advice on your situation, I do think you have taken the right course of action by seeking help and information. I did have one question, and that is, has your girlfriend noticed any changes (other than less sperm), with reference to the bend (Peryonies)? Welcome aboard, and hope you find some solutions (and a doc who will listen).

Designer, my urologist actually asked me about it at one time, saying that low levels of seminal fluid at ejaculation is a common phenomena among Diabetics. It's better know as, "Retrograde Ejaculation." You're making just as much as you ever did, or so they say, but because of damage to the body from Diabetes, it dumps into the bladder rather than being emitted.
Now that the technical stuff is out of the way:
I'm like Duck; architect and diabetic by day, but at night I put on my mask and cape and latex gloves, and become Urologyman, a non-practicing, practicing urologist able to make you turn your head and force you to cough out the truth. Kinda like Wonder woman's lasso, except not as glamorous and I don't fill the boustier top of my tights like Linda Carter used to! :D
Tell her you're not cheating, it's a common problem (no matter who won't admit to it on here), and offer her this, "Take it as a break from having to clean up so much and at least this way no one gets the sticky spot."

also, just a thought. The bend may not be severe enough to do anything about, but it may be constricting the Urethra and causing a reduction.

Sorry Designer I have to interupt your post for an important heckle......
So Meech, let me get this straight, You have a Purse AND a Boustier AND tights????
Now back to your regularly scheduled post....
Oh, I agree with Miss Meech here, if the doc says theres nothing "wrong" (cancer etc) then enjoy the fact that there is less to clean up..... and Meech, you should know, a woman never sleeps in the sticky spot....right about now I am asuming that means you!!

;)Laugh it up, Sweetie! All of you women can't be fortunate enough as Mrs. Meech(meaning my wife you bunch of :smartass:ess) to be married to one helluva guy like me. Afterall, most men can't be sincere, passionate, sensitive, strong, so ****ed good looking, AND comfortable with themselves all at the same time! She does sympathize with the rest of you, however! Oh, you poor, poor souls... :D

ah yes, I can certainly say that I am quite fortunate that my husband does NOT carry a purse and wear a bra and tights...YUP, pooor, pooor, me....
Well, the men that are sincere, passionate, sensitive, strong and that good looking, do usually wear what you wear, but it's usually at the gay bars on Friday nights - Ladies night!!!
I do however give much credit to your wife, it must be difficult living with a godess....
Poor Designer...The man has a real concern and now his thread has degenerated into a discusson about cross-dressing... :heeeellll

Hey you lot dont worry about me, I loved all the talk, and banter....Much better than our dreary old sites over here in the UK.
(By the way...........Thanks for all you emails of support.....IT HELPS. (Bombings)
I also was told that I'm "Dumping it in the bladder" BUT like most of our doctors over here they dont bloody well tell you WHY?????
I use to belong to a GREAT forum concerning Diabetes, there was a guy on there who was in his 50's and lived in a RV and went where the sunshine was...Boy was he helpful, then it shut down????
I read most of the posts last nite and found them very helpful...BUT your'e not gonna shut down are you??????
I'm off to see my Doctor in Late August (Our waiting list is very quick over here, you gotta prob?? wanna see a doctor???? then you wait 3 months Aaarrrgggghhh)
So I'll post with his diagnostics.
Cheers all for the laughs

A long time ago a fellow worker was telling me about a Heart Medication he wanted the doctor to prescribe that it caused "Retrograde Ejaculation." However it was another side effect like viagra he wanted. :joyman:

Let us know what you find out on this.
Welcome to the forums. Alot of us on here use humor to deal with our diabetes but sometimes it gets taken too far by some. I know that if you have a serious ?, we will answer it to the best of our abilities.
God, I hope Tony never pulls the plug on us. I've met alot of friends here who have been very helpful to me and my take on my care. Not to be pointing fingers (lol) but , like myself, Duck and Meech use humor and that's a good thing. But, if you do have a serious problem, these two guys will be there to offer advice and support all the way. :D

Designer,
If there are any plans to 'pull the plug' I am not aware of them. I want to commend you on the manner in which you started this thread. I think you approached a sensitive subject in an excellent manner. Please continue to visit the forums and contribute where you see fit.

Thanks one 'N' all
First...Diabetes first...then peroynies. Am prescribed Viagara, but dont use it, well only if my partner wants me too.
Great to see you will still be there for the future fopr me.
Thanks for the comment (Tautry)
Humour??...Hey I'm like this all day every day.
What annoys me is this...(well over here in the UK)
If I've gotta prob i go to the doctors, without even examining me, they say
"Well your diabetic what do you expect?"
When I found that I had peryonies, again the doctor said "Well thats because you're diabetic"
Its a get out clause.....Diabetic, I mean why cant they find a cure for Peryonies??
I bet if the disease had orginated from mars they would have had a 'manned' space ship going there right now!!!!!
However I remember when i came back from living in Goa (India) after two years....If I injected i felt worse, If I didnt inject I felt great.
After NOT injecting while in Goa, I came home and saw the diabetic Doctor for a check up.....Nothing wrong...In fact she said that if she dint know any better she could have sworn that I wasnt diabetic????????
After less than 3 months back home I became ill and had to start to inject again.
I've said this all along, 2 reasons for me being well in Goa.
1 NO STRESS
2 SUNSHINE.
Cheers all hope to talk again soon.

Yes, I agree with Travis. Designer, you started this thread in all sincerity, and I hope some of the things that were said are helpful to you. I apologize for my part in getting too silly on your post. Despite the rumors flying(mostly started by myself :)), I don't think I've ever knowingly worn women's apparel, but I do have a great briefcase!
