with an official Diabetesforums.com T-shirt!

Due to the positive responses to the 'Logo Wear' thread, we have decided to have printed for sale an official Diabetesforums.com t-shirt. The shirt will be an ash gray Hanes Tagless T with the Diabetesforums logo and web address printed on the front.

The price of the shirts for youth and adult sizes Small through Extra Large will be $15.00 plus shipping. Sizes 2X and 3X are available with an upcharge of $2.00 and $2.50 respectively, making them $17.00 and $17.50 plus shipping. Shipping to U.S. addresses should not be more than $3.85 if Priority Mail is used. International shipping will be determined on an individual order basis.

So here's the deal:

At present, we are ready to accept reservations. The actual order will be placed at the end of the reservation period. Once the order is placed reservation holders will be contacted with their total and instructed on how to make payment. PayPal or Money Orders will be the accepted payment methods. A minimum of 24 shirts must be reserved for printing.

To reserve your shirt or shirts, send an email to reservations (reservations@diabetesforums.com) with your name, shipping address, number of shirts you wish to reserve and the desired size or sizes. You may also address any questions to me at that email address. I will attempt to respond to all emails within 24 hours with a confirmation or reply.

The reservation period will remain open until at least July 21, 2005.

Sandi,

I'm sorry you've had difficulty with PayPal. For such a diverse group as our membership, it seems to be fairly available and simple solution to handling payment. In an effort accomodate all of our members, we are looking into offering an additional method of payment. More information will be posted when it becomes available.

Marie,

I did an Internet search and did not find a size conversion for t-shirts. The several shirt conversion charts I did find listed American and British shirt sizes as the same. Hopefully one of our other members can provide correct information if I am in error.

Thanks Travis. I don't expect you to change the payment method over my little tid bit with Paypal. Perhaps a money order could be worked out for myself? :dontknow:

liz and all,

Because the total prices will vary due to the number of shirts ordered and the shipping costs, final pricing and payment information will be emailed individually and will not be posted. Please make sure to follow this link reservations (reservations@diabetesforums.com) or the one like it in the first post of this thread and reserve your shirts by email.

The t-shirts are described in the first post of this thread.

On a related note: All members considering reserving a shirt, please read the first post to this thread. I have asked for specific information as part of your reervation request. I am not accepting reservations until all the requested information is provided.

While it may seem picky, I assure you there is a method to my madness!

Hello All,

It seems that t-shirt reservations have stalled. To encourage those who may be procrastinating, we currently have 18 shirts reserved. Please remember that we need 24 shirts reserved to make an order. If you have intended to reserve a shirt or two, take a moment and do it now. Here is the link: shirt reservations (reservations@diabetesforums.com) .

You may also use the link to submit any questions. I try to respond to reservations or questions within 24 hours.

A friendly reminder:

Thursday, July 21, is the deadline for reserving your Official Diabetesforums T- shirts. At present we have 20 of the required 24 shirts reserved. We need to get the order placed, the shirts in hand and shipped while the weather is still warm enough for them to be worn. Please take a moment and reserve your shirt by clicking here (reservations@diabetesforums.com) .

One question that arose was the size measurements in relation to the letter abbreviations. The sizes and corresponding chest measurements in inches are:

S - 34-36
M - 38-40
L - 42-44
XL - 46-48
2X - 50-52
3X - 54-56

Should anyone have further questions or wish to change the size or sizes they have reserved, contact me through the link above.

Thanks,

Travis

Travis, if you are a thrasher, you can wear a long-sleeve t-shirt under your short-sleeve t-shirt and swing that look when it gets colder.

:thrasher:

Put me down for an additional T, make it a large--I'll likely wear out the one if it is all I have...

I may try that option. Do you know how to get it to work with a hotmail account?? I don't know what to put into the boxes about incoming, outgoing, and the other thing they ask (IMAP and such).

Hi folks,

The initial Official Diabetesforums T-shirt reservation period has concluded. Thanks to a flurry of last minute contacts we have 25 shirts reserved. While that is enough to place an order, there may still be some members who want to reserve. Having discussed it with Tony, I am extending the reservation period through Wednesday, July 27. Those who wish to reserve a shirt may click here (reservations@diabetesforums.com) and send me an email with your desired size or sizes and a shipping address.

Thanks,

Travis
