I got a low battery warning lastnight and believe it or not I cannot unscrew the top for anything. I have had a friend try and he had no luck. I have never had this happen and I think I will get an ear full from MM if I call for something lame like this. Any ideas? :shot:

Wow, bummer Cam.
Only things I can think of is vapor lock (unlikely) or cross threading of the cap. I have a Cozmo and no experience with a MM, sorry.
On the issue of calling MM, forgive my callus nature, but screw them. If you call with a problem with their device that they 100% guarantee and warranty for 4 years, and it is within that 4 year period, and they give you guff about calling...
I would call. If they give you any guff, ask them to explain their customer service policy as it relates to helping customers that have purchased their products and how their current treatment of you falls in line with that.
OK, rant over...sorry. That just makes me so mad.

Agreed!! The last time I called they made sure it I had nothing to do with the pump malfunctioning and they refused to believe it was a pump problem. I can't even imagine what kind of grief I will get with this call. The thing that gets me a tad bit worried is I need to change my set and rewinding and priming might drain whatever the battery might have left.
Guess I shall get the lantus out. How embarrassing. :o

Oh relax Sandi, I don't think it's embarrassing. Stuff happens to all of us from time to time. Remember the time I wrote about how I dropped my new Lantus bottle on the floor and it broke! HA. Of course at the time I didn't think it was very funny!
I would call MM, get their advice on what to do, if they can't tell you a way to get the cap off, then tell them to begin making arrangements for an exchange and to ship you out a replacement so you have it in 24 hours, like their literature promises!
If the battery is that close to running out, you may be better off going to the Lantus. I would also switch earlier in the day rather than later, just to be safe.
Let us know what happens and good luck.

I agree with Koblenz. You outta call and tell them you can't get it off. They may have had other calls about it....honestly, that's what they're there for and being that you probably paid several thousand for your pump, (with or without insurance, that's irrelevant) I would like to think that part of that whopping fee includes customer service reps to answer any and all questions. Honestly, they'll probably just laugh with you about it. Is it something that you have to screw off? Try putting a rubberband around it, I do that with lids I can't get off....it provides a better grip.

Cielo, yes it has to be screwed off and putting a rubber band around it is impossible since the only way to get it off is sticking a coin on the top of it. I called my friend at the hardware company and he told me to come in and he also mentioned I was a weakling. :hmpf: I'M NOT A WEAKLING! LOL

Do u have to normally use a coin to unscrew the batt cap? You might have over-tightened it. DO not hesitate to call MM.... I don't even get put on hold anymore, they just see my # calling in on their caller ID and answer..
"What happened now?" LOL....
