I have just had a partial lift of a Quickset due to humidity. Is it safe to apply a piece of medical tape to keep it down?

Ooh, :hmmmm: not too sure. I've done it myself before, but wouldn't necessarily recommend it to others. If you do decide to re-stick it, make sure it doesn't feel funny and test your sugar - Alot! By testing often, it will help you to keep on top of the situation, should the set decide to quit working. Otherwise, I'd say to go ahead and just replace it. Hope this helps...

Did the cannula come out or did the taping just lift up? If it was just the edge of the taping I would put tape over it. Do you have any IV3000? If you do just cut a hole big enough in the middle so you can place it over you site and still be able to disconnect.

Well...
I did have to replace it. I can not believe how sensitive the tape onthe quicksets are. I had just changed the entire thing just yesterday. I did notice my blood sugar going up and didnt take any risk. I changed the whole thing. has this happened to anyone? Does the IV-3000 help in cases like this?

In my case the IV3000 helps a whole lot. I swim about everyday and my sets still last the recommended time. I also use the IV skin prep which is a bit sticky.
Here's my personal lineup
IV skin prep
IV3000
IV skin prep again over IV3000
Infusion set

Hey Cinna'
I've posted this before, but it's a great way to stick a site to your skin:
From a previous post.

Also, I keep a bottle of Liquid Skin with me in my little insulin kit. If the sides of the IV3000 start to raise up and I can't replace the site at the moment, I glue it back down with the liquid skin. It's great stuff, about $3-4 a bottle at WalMart.
