Well, I said I would report back when I had my three monthly test results.
You may recall that we have our own chooks (hens for you guys in the Northern hemisphere, is that right Arlenecarol?) and that they are free range most of the time (at least 50% of their day). I am feeding them Coprice pellets which are rice based and which contain fish meal and a lesser percentage of meatmeal than normal pellets. They do not have any antibiotics added.
I have just returned from my doctor. My cholesterol readings have not changed from the last reading (4.5 he says we must get down to below 4) BUT the bad cholesterol has halved and the good cholesterol has doubled, so I feel that I can continue to eat my eggs and not worry about them affecting my cholesterol!
The doctor did say that he has had an interest in eggs and cholesterol and also having Physillum and lecithin. He has come to the conclusion that the lecithin does not help the cholesterol all that much, that Physillum may help and that eggs do not deserve their bad reputation. He feels that they are highly nutritious, although he did say that he would not recommend having them every morning for breakfast as I was contemplating.
HTH you guys.
