I know that Type 1 folks can have pretty wide swings in their bg, including going very low. I was wondering, however, what kind of lows you Type 2 folks have experienced?
My lowest recorded bg was in the 70s ... 75, I think.
What as your lowest low been?
Thanks.

Eri's was 19..it actually read that on the paramedics glucometer...a few minutes later, she was 21 on hers. (it took forever to get her above 60!!!)...weirdly, the lowest she has ever been AND coherent like nothing was wrong, was 24...totally freaky.
(she was 49 or 44 this morning)

Mine was 52 and I thought that was horrible. I'd been shaky before but never dripping with sweat and making no sense. I can't imagine those 29's and 30's and 40's you have reported.
By the way, I'd never heard of a type 1.5 before. That isn't a type 2 on insulin is it?

1.2 (21.5) as a readable one but my monitor couldnt read it one time, meaning it was below 1.0 (18)...

Type 1.5 isn't exactly that :) Officially I'm type 2 but my endo told me the jury is still out and I may be type 1.5. The following website explains it far better than I can :)

Although I wasn't the one that asked the question of you, I want to thank you for posting that link. I read the article and learned that my conception of Type 1.5 was off the mark.
It's always good to learn!

32, but was walking and talking and felt fine. Strangely enough, the 50s are when I turn into a sweating, blubbering idiot, crashing into walls not knowing where or who I am. :D

I need to revise mine. Right after I said I can't imagine a 34, that's what I got. (I forgot the "knock on wood". I don't know what I did to deserve that but I won't do it again--I hope)

My new lowest is 3.4 (61.2) and I felt fine and was functioning ok; I just felt hungry.

What do you think? It used to be 75 for me, then years later dropped to 70, my old doc told me 65 (which I think is pretty close to 3.5mmol), but I didn't feel comfortable with that and stuck with 70-75ish. I can feel the worst at 70, and I can't believe some docs don't consider it a hypo until you drop under 65.

I have it pretty weird. I can feel it at 50-80 but if it drops fast below 50, I'll never feel it. And the last time I went to my doctor she told me not to worry about eating anything if I'm running 80. I use to hate running 80 just because to me that seems to close to the danger level of 60. I always preferred a 2 unit of insulin buffer above the danger level which put me at 130, which was my set to level. But now that level was dropped to 110 and she wants me to not treat till I'm under 70. Craziness in my opinion, but I guess it's the best option.

0.2 mmol...I was babbling and wandering around then...and I have to say all I felt was this throbing bass in my head. I was doomed but I got some juice in time. Lucky.

Well done, that's good - you don't want to go lower.
This isn't a competition to see who can get lowest without coma or vomiting - I don't think :hmmmm:
