Old man still living as a diabetic.

Hi, Can you believe a old man of 76 years old that has shots twice a day and has no blood tests by meter each day and eats half gallon ice cream twice a week and eat juck food can still be living and in pretty good health. How does he do it? It's weird some people would be dead if they lived like this as a diabetic. He has also had one heart attack and two open heart operations in his life.

He is apparently the exception to the rule! Just as with most things, that may work for him. Or, he could very well have turned out like Waylon Jennings. He lost a foot and ultimately died from complications of diabetes. I know of a writer and survival school operator in Texas who, as a result of uncontrolled diabetes, died after a horse stepped on his foot and it got infected. All of those are extreme but real cases. Fortunately, or unfortunately, most of us fall someplace in the middle.

Hi, This old man I posted about has had a stroke and it might just be because of his diabete's and what he has been eating. He told me he never checked his blood sugar and eat anything like half of gallon ice cream and fast foods never cooked at home and eat out all the time. His wife died with real bad diabete's. She went blind. If would look like he would know the danger's for not following a diabete's life style. He has two children and they are in their 40's and they need to be checked for diabete's for sure.
