My mum is back in hospital - she hasn’t been well for months & this is the 4th time she’s been in hospital in the past year. I am feeling really stressed from the worry & this is affecting my bs – this morning it was 18.4 & I have a headache from ****. It’s such a vicious circle & I’m feeling pretty peeved as I have been working really hard to get good control. Sorry, just needed to rant.

:o Its ok to rant.

There's not alot you can do about your bg when stress effects it. You can only try to relax as much as you can when you can. Just don't let the high bg's stress you out even more than you already are. Take care x

If you can try and take a SLOW relaxing walk. You don't want to drive your sugars higher, but it may help relaxing you and that will help to bring them down. Sorry to hear that your mom's in the hospital again. Hopefully, this will be the last time. Take care and let us know how things are going. Feel free to rant.:captain:

So sorry to hear you are feekling stressed...and that your sugars are adding to your stress. I know how awful that feels, I'm sure most of us here do. Please know that we're here for you and if venting helps you to deal with this all, we invite you to do so. I know I always feel better after I express my frustration... it does help.

Things will get better...hang in there!

Everyone is right....
I know the feeling of trying so hard and you get this. YOu know what??
There are certain situations that you can't really control. SOunds like you are doing as much as you can, keep it up because things will get better! (big hug)

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. Your mother is blessed, having a daughter like you, who cares so much. I hope you can find some time for yourself, to help you relax and get your BS back where you want it. In times of stress, I always want food, and usually high carb food to comfort myself, it is difficult to find a replacement for this. Time alone, walking or reading, sometimes does it for me.

:hello: I'm so sorry for the stress involved in your life right now. I hope things go better with your Mum. Stress always affects me more than any other thing--even triple chocolate brownies. The suggestion of a slow relaxing walk is a good one. :boxing: Or for that matter find your destressor and do it. It's okay to feel peeved and let it all out to us. We have all done it or will do it.
Good luck with your Mom. :banghead: Rant away whenever you need to.

Thanks everyone for your caring words of support, they mean a lot to me. I'm trying not to stress out & after work I walked to the train station (30 mins) instead of catching a cab - I actually enjoyed the walk as it wasn't too cold. I spoke to my mum today & she seems in quite good spirits so that should help her get better quicker. Thanks for letting me rant - I feel that it has helped.
