I don't know about you but I got a free blood glocuouse monitor for buying 100 test strips.

i got 100 freestyle test strips for my pump and they were having buy a box of 100 get a free freestyle monitor

Call up freestyle, and, upon request, they will send a free meter, or coupons to get one. It is really not that big of a deal to get a free meter. I emailed abott and asked if they could send me a free precision xtra. Surely enough, they sent the coupons, with me receiving them 3 days later.

I have the freestyle flash meter. I love it! Smallest meter(fits easily in my pocket), smallest blood sample, and have checked it twice with blood glucose results from my HMO's lab (id test less then a minute before they drew blood from me) and both times it came back EXACTLY on the same. The only thing I noticed about this meter I do not like is that unlike the ultratouch models, if you touch your skin (on the finger tip or forearm) with the test strip it causes readings to be higher then they actually are. You have to make sure to only touch the strip to the blood.

I use the free style mini and love it. I also treat it as a pocket watch. I have never worn a watch before so this thing is great to pop out of your pocket and check the time. I love the 2 week Avg it displays too. If it is between 5.8 and 6.2 I know I have been doing well, any higher or lower and I know there is something wrong and it's time to make adjustments. 2 thumbs up for the free style mini :thumbsup:

Yesterday I went to pick up 100 test strips again. They still have the free meter going on. So I picked up a second one. This time the lady gave me the flash meter.
Now I have the Freestyle and Freestyle Flash.
Along w/ the BD one that came free months ago in the mail.
