I spent most of the day at one doctor or another today. Friday, I see my Urologist, for a "Poke and Peek", and I might be done for 3 months, if all the test come back good! I hate days like this but it is easier to get it all done in one day. My GP was really pleased with my A1c, he was just hoping to get it down to 7, and I was close to 6. I gave all the credit to the forum, so thank you guys. I also had one of the yearly checks that most of us women need to endure, you all know what I mean I am sure. :nurse: Next to the Uro exam, I hate it the most. I will not know the results of anything for a week. Also saw the eye doctor, who said my eyesight had a significant improvement, which could explain why I was having so much trouble seeing. I will get new glasses in the next two weeks that will help that. I still have my ring of floaters, but no sign of diabetic damage. He said I might as well figure on the floaters being there forever. He did give me a medical term for it, but I really don't feel like getting up to look for it...something about separation of viscila (I know that isn't right, but it's what it sounds like). But the summary of the day....three out of four doctors say I am doing as good as you can expect!

That's fantastic Penny. You did the work getting that A1C. Great job. Glad to hear that most of the Dr appts are over and things are good.:elefant:

It's the "almost" that scares me. I'm almost normal, too, except for that thinking impairment.

I have a lot of floaters because of my detaching retinas. The number changes over time so maybe yours will decrease in number and disappear over time.

I'm almost normal!

Are you sure this is something you REALLY want to brag about?
