Hi, I'm just diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and I have been keeping logs for my food and my blood sugar for less than a week. I'm now 7 mo pregnant.
I hope I can find useful information and advise in this forum.

Welcome to the forum. This is a very supportive and informative place. I'll be supportive, but I know nothing about gestational diabetes. Someone will come along and be able to help. Just wanted to welcome:itsme:

:shot: WELCOME TO THE FORUM!! My first experience with diabetes was gestational with my fifth and last child. I do think I had it with my fourth, too, but it was not diagnosed. This was 19 years ago and my memory has gone down hill since then. I was put immediately on insulin. Since I realized the baby would be effected, I didn't both with denial. I was very, very careful. My blood sugars returned to normal right after birth. I did do the denial thing after that, and didn't remember that if I didn't watch my weight and healthy eating habits I would pay the price. So here I am with Type II.
My fourth child was born 6 weeks early with hypoglycemic which happens with uncontrolled sugars of birth mothers. Looking back on the symptoms, they were there but those were the days, every pregnancy was not checked for diabetes.

However Loren was born perfect and he was worth every bit of worry and frustration.

We are glad to have you. Hope that we hear from you often. There is much knowledge and support here.
