I want to renew my annual travel insurance (I'm in the UK) & the company informed me that my excess is £750 if anything happens that is 'diabetes' related. Is this common practice? Seems mighty unfair to me!:thumpdown

My mum and dad went on a cruise last october for their 25th wedding anniversary and my mum phoned up for travel insurance and they were going to get charged extra as my dad was T1 an mum was taking pills to keep her in remission for breast cancer.
Im not sure how much it was... but will try and find out for you

Most of the comapanies I've looked at will either not pay out at all for a diabetes related incident or will charge a higher premium. Have you tried:

They looked pretty good.
