Educate me about cholesterol meds

Ok, my cholesterol is double what my endo wants it to be.

Starting Monday morning she is giving me meds for it.

Any nasty side effects anyone has noticed? Does it drop blood pressure? make you grow a 3rd arm out of your forehead?

Ive got a similar thread in the meds forum- my cholesterol is 5.1 (apparently it should be under 5?) and im on simvistatin. Only been on it a day, so dont know of any side affects so far, but theres a bit list of them on the leaflet...
