val's post about double dosing her Lantus got me thinking.
When I was first diagnosed Type 2 in 2003, I was admitted to the hospital because of ketones. I was given an IV that contained insulin to help get my bg down and to deal with the ketones. I was also on metformin at the time.
Given that I was diagnosed insulin resistant, what could have happened if they had given me too much insulin at the time?
Any thoughts or information you can share? Thanks.
